Mingdao Cloud, an innovative Hyper Application Platform, is operated by Shanghai Wanqi Mingdao Software Co., Ltd., which was established in 2013 by the well-known internet figure, Mr. Ren Xianghui. This platform allows users to construct enterprise applications without any coding, enabling the creation of user-friendly applications for sales, operations, human resources, procurement, and other core business functions, while also facilitating data integration within the enterprise. Mingdao Cloud features a hyper-automation engine for automating complex and repetitive business processes. Its integration center and comprehensive API interfacing capabilities allow for easy integration with external systems. Moreover, the Mingdao Cloud Hyper Application Platform supports high composability, internationalization, and a cloud-native architecture, thus enabling multi-cloud deployment capabilities. Through its plugin architecture, Mingdao Cloud is progressively establishing a thriving ecosystem for implementation and development.

Mingdao Cloud can help enterprises to greatly save software expenses, reduce the cost and time of custom development, have an extremely flexible and easy-to-use digital platform, and is an important tool for enterprise digital construction. He graduated from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and China Europe International Business School,

As a former board member in several advertising and software industry associations,

he created the first mailing list service in China - Soeasy, in 1997.

In 2000, he founded the earliest professional website on online advertising in China, "Online Advertising Pioneer", which was later developed by Mr Yang Weiqing into a well-known Internet economic research organisation in the Chinese market - Ai Rui Consulting.

In 2002, he founded Plum.com, which provides rich and practical information and knowledge base content for marketing professionals in China.

Founded Mingdao Cloud (mingdao.com) in 2013, we have helped nearly 10,000 contracted companies successfully build an extremely flexible and easy-to-use data middleware, allowing companies to significantly reduce software costs, significantly shorten custom development time, and overall improve the level of digitization and intelligence of enterprises.

Jerry Jin CTO

Kewei Jin has been engaged in enterprise software, industry software and Saas product development in IT and Internet for nearly 10 years, and has about 6 years of IT team leading experience.

In 2005, he joined Shanghai Meihua Information, starting from a coder and gradually becoming a team leader, experiencing most of the product transformation and R&D process of Meihua Information, including the establishment of Meihua.com, the improvement and reconstruction of data-based monitoring products, etc., as well as the establishment of Meihua's technical R&D and operation and maintenance team.

In mid 2011, he started to invest in the R&D of Mingdao, and led the team to put the Beta version of Mingdao on line in early 2012, until now it has become the well-known SaaS software vendor in China. During this period, he established the entire R&D, O&M system, and now focuses on R&D, O&M management improvement, product technology framework direction decision-making, and other R&D related work.

Zorn Xue CPO

From 2005 to 2009, he studied at Henan Polytechnic University and graduated there

Design work for 10 years. From graphic design to UI design and product design after crossing into the Internet industry. Good at combining visual, interaction and function to solve product problems as a whole.

He joined Mingdao in 2014 to be in charge of UI design, and became Design Director in 2016 to build Mingdao's UX team and design specification.

In 2018, he served as the Product Director and led his team to complete the first version of the Mingdao Cloud APaaS platform. He is currently concentrating on planning product iterations and enhancing user experience.

Brand Story

01 Originated from MeiHua

Mingdao started as an experimental project in 2008, with the initial goal of solving internal communication and collaboration problems. Later, after many project planning, launching, aborting, re-researching and re-developing, the team completed the first version of the product plan after the Spring Festival of 2011, and the project was formally named Mingdao.

The project name is derived from an ancient phrase: "Seize the momentum, Mingdao, superior technique". "Seize the momentum" symbolizes the strategic decision-making capability of a company, "superior technique" signifies the professional skills of the company and its employees. "Mingdao", positioned in the middle, bridges the gap between the two, transforming individual capabilities into organizational strengths through collaboration. It always revolves around strategic objectives, establishing goal-oriented approaches, ultimately cultivating the company's comprehensive competitive edge.

02 Seek for Collaboration

In the following three years, Mingdao went through one iteration after another and became an enterprise SaaS collaboration software based on the idea of Social Enterprise, which not only achieved the initial project goal, but also forged a unique business value. Plum decided to commercialize Mingdao to help more enterprises fundamentally solve their management and collaboration challenges and realize the value of open communication and flat collaboration.

After a full year of development and internal testing, on 7 January 2012, Mingdao was officially made available to the public.

As soon as Ming Dao was launched, it was highly respected by all kinds of enterprise users across the country, and the number of Ming Dao's registrations continued to soar, with more and more users paying for the premium version. China Telecom, PICC Property and Casualty Insurance, PetroChina, CCTV United Media, Peking University, CapitaLand, Rongwei Automobile, Easy Car, 7 Days Chain Hotel, Storm Video, Vipshop, Hantoo Clothing and other famous enterprises have become the paid users of Mingdao one after another.

03 Hard but Persistent Exploration

A great story will always have unexpected turns, and Mingdao also went through some difficult moments when it was growing.

From 2015, the collaboration SaaS market began to change radically. Internet giant products such as Nail, Enterprise WeChat and Lark started to rebuild the market order with a completely free business model. Mingdao failed to be spared from this huge impact.

Since 2016, Mingdao Cloud has faced significant challenges in customer acquisition and retention. by the end of 2017, Mingdao failed to find a way to effectively differentiate itself in its original market. Nonetheless, instead of ending the story, Mingdao explored a turnaround through a substantial product transformation. The transformation process did not go smoothly, and the HR and vertical tracks that Mingdao tried were not successful.

04 Restructure to Gain Success

Initially in 2018, the Mingdao team attempted to build a building block enterprise software that allowed users to build enterprise applications with zero-code. After more than a year of development, by May 2019, Mingdao launched Mingdao Cloud, a new zero-code application platform. The product launch was followed by repeated iterations to improve product maturity. in March 2020, Ming Dao Cloud launched a private deployment version based on container technology, enabling Ming Dao Cloud to enter backbone industries such as finance, energy, and government.

Once the product reached maturity, Mingdao started contemplating a sustainable business model: the application platform products required the establishment of a unique channel model, leveraging the expertise and technology of partners to transition Mingdao Cloud from a tool-based platform to a solution for vertical industries. In 2020, the Mingdao Cloud Partner Program was initiated.

After more than two years of development, Mingdao Cloud has attracted more than two hundred partners and established a zero-code partner ecosystem that is equal, mutually beneficial and profitable. With the partner ecosystem advantage, Mingdao has also achieved a major business breakthrough. The company has successfully turned profit in 2020, secured new financing in 2021, and established a representative position in the APaaS market, with business development entering the fast lane.
